God's Auto Repair
Beverly was enjoying her "like new" old car that I had overhauled for her about a month earlier when my phone rang. It was Beverly saying that her car was sitting in a shopping center parking lot because it would not start. I thought, "There is no reason that car should not start it is in perfect running condition!" So I said I would get the key from her and go check it out.....READ MORE

God's Auto Repair II
After many years of faithfully serving me, my 1998 Nissan Frontier started making a horrible noise. Honestly I have never heard a noise like this from any vehicle. It would suddenly start squealing extremely loud.  I noticed that when I put my clutch in the noise would be affected. Knowing something about cars I guessed that it was the...READ MORE

God Speaks About Money
One day while I was painting, I think it was a Friday, God spoke out of the blue: “Give $100 to R.M.” This is a friend of mine who has a family and was out of work at that time. I said to God, “Okay I will give it to him Sunday at church.” Immediately God spoke loudly and clearly, “Give it to him now!”...READ MORE

God Speaks At Work
Whenever I break for lunch while painting I wrap up my paint trays in plastic so they will not dry out. On this job I had two trays; one for the ceiling and one for the walls; the colors were not the same, but they were very similar. After lunch I came back and opened one of the trays and grabbed the roller and was just starting to raise it up to paint and the Lord spoke – “wall paint”. I immediately stopped and looked then opened the other tray to compare the two paint colors...READ MORE

Sharing Jesus With Others
I was painting the den in his house; he was sitting in a chair just watching me. He was in his mid 80’s. I was somewhat familiar with him and his family as I had painted for him many times before as well as his daughter and sons. I knew he attended church faithfully but I was not sure if he actually was a Christian. I had my back toward him as I painted and said, “You go to church with your family don’t you?” He said he did. I turned to face him and asked, “In all the years that you have been going to church have you ever...READ MORE

The Big Blue Chair
The semester was over and so was I. I had just graduated and had to move out of the dorm. As I was packing up my things I was wondering what to do with this big blue chair and matching ottoman. I had it for the last 4 or 5 years – it was a nice chair. The Lord spoke, “Give it to Beverly.” It was plain as day, I heard him clearly,  but I dismissed it as my own thoughts...READ MORE

The Church In Cityview
An elder (Bob) who was speaking during a worship service mentioned that he ministered at another church in the past. He mentioned that a fellow died and said, “That was the end of my ministry to him.” Immediately the Holy Spirit came up within me and said, “Stand and say, ’You could raise him from the dead.’” It happened so suddenly that I was shocked and could hardly move...READ MORE

The Coke Can
July in Texas is hot! Here I was again at the end of the day completely and utterly spent. Drenched in sweat and dust after mowing grass all day. I could hardly move my muscles as I unloaded my equipment out of the truck and into the storage building I rented. The sun beat down on me. Dry, ovenlike. I sat in the truck and...READ MORE

The Dead Dog Story
I had just turned off the freeway, turned left at the light, and headed up the street past 7-11. It was about 10 PM, dark, and there were no streetlights on this stretch of road. As I drove toward a stop sign I noticed something in the shallow ditch off to my right. “Was that a dog?” I thought to myself. I believed I could even tell what kind of dog – it looked like a German Shepherd. I thought...READ MORE

The Prayer Walk
After two years of enjoying a deeper walk with Jesus, I felt a little bit restless. I had been attending conferences, prayer meetings, worship meetings, as well as spending personal time with Him. One day I felt compelled to DO SOMETHING! So I took four wooden stakes, wrote scriptures on them and drove them into the ground in each of the four corners of Tarrant County, TX...READ MORE

The Rain
It was a typical hot summer day in Texas with temperatures in the high 90’s, but this day was starting to get a little cloudy. I pulled up into the property where I was going to mow the grass. On this waterfront property the house had been torn down and the owner was planning to build a new one, but for now it was just an empty lot. The grass had  grown and now was 1.5 feet tall and more in some spots making the mowing very difficult. I had driven...READ MORE
